Our Featured Presenters
Three artists + 1 art teacher for 4-5 hours full of relaxation, creativity, and fun.
Robin is an independent, self-representing artist who loves mixed media and bold colors.Â
She loves depicting the joy of nature in bold, vibrant colors especially the ocean, landscapes, flowers, and birds. She captures their joy through her intuition and insight.
Her background in social work, and in the foster care system of NYC helped her to identify and appreciate the small beauties in life, and to express the joy that comes with creating, and how that can change our lives, alter our futures, and transform ourselves.Â
The ultimate expression is when she translates her love of color onto paper, canvas and the digital screen. She also loves to spend time creating colorful crochet afghans and handmade art journals that infuse her love of color with joyful tactile fiber pieces.
She loves spending time in nature looking for inspiration, and always has a bag of art supplies in hand.
Anna firmly believes art is a thing everyone can do.Â
Even after her business studies, her year of Full Time Service as an Army Officer, she was strongly influenced by her artist mother and knew she would follow in her footsteps.
She believes it's about leading a richer life, and noticing and appreciating what's around you. She wants to inspire others to have the confidence to sketch their home, family, and memories. She wants to see others lose themselves in the mindfulness of pencils, paint and ink
When she's not sketching, painting, or having idea attacks about her new classes, you will find her in the kitchen with my kids, walking the studio dog, Maeby, or procrastinating about tidying up the garage. (But she's usually sipping coffee and sketching!)
Adrianne uses vivid colors in unexpected combinations to create wild, colorful acrylic and gouache paintings of plants and other abstractions.
Color has always been her main source of inspiration.
Adrianne comes from a graphic design background but prefers the act of making art with her own hands. She initially felt uneasy putting so much of herself out into the world, but has since felt a satisfaction that she never found in corporate America. Ponnopozz is named after two imaginary friends, Ponno and Pozzer, that the artist had as a child. The name is a daily reminder of the unbridled creativity of childhood that she continues to nurture through the act of painting and drawing.
Adrianne is currently based in Chicago where she resides with her partner, Seth, and their three cats.
And your host, Julie Soul
Julie is the Founder and Co-owner of Soul Sparklettes Art, and helps thousands of art teachers, homeschoolers, and studio owners get inspired and empowered no matter how they teach art to kids.
A homeschooling mom to two sparklettes, a community art teacher, a writer with a writing and MA in psychology, Julie believes teaching art should be fun for kids, and for the adults who teach them.
Although she didn't go to school for art, she's been drawing and illustrating her stories, and teaching art to every child and adult she could get her hands on, and she can't wait to share her love of art with you.
When not developing art projects or teaching art to kids, Julie can be found drinking way too many shots of espresso, traveling around the world, reading books, and getting herself lost on hikes - and forgetting the snacks.
