Well over 6,000 species of fish make their homes in coral reefs all over the world. 

Fish in the reef are often flatter than open water fish so that they can easily swim around coral. 

They're also often brightly colored with patterns unlike their duller open-watered cousins. Many times these colors and patterns help them blend in with the colorful coral surrounding them.

In this project, students will study the different fish of the reef and create their own coral reef sculpture using model magic, paint, and wire.
