If you visit Yellowstone National Park you'll see lots of people, incredible geysers, and herds of animals such as elk and bison. Imagine traveling all that way and waiting for a geyser and - a bison blocks your view. Bison have been known to block your view - and your car, and they travel around the park often stopping cars from reaching their next destination!  In this project, students will choose three different colors for their Yellowstone background, draw an adorable bison blocking the way, and then explode the geyser by sponge painting smoke and steam.
