Meet the teacher...
Julie Soul is the founder and co-owner of Soul Sparklettes Art, a company who creates art projects and resources for homeschoolers and art teachers.
She's been teaching kids art for over 9 years, either at home, in her local community, or online.
She's a homeschool Mom to two girls, ages 12 and 10, an espresso drinker, a shenanigan enthusiast, and a cheerleader for creative kids - AND those who teach them.
Here's our week at a glance!
Monday: Stained Glass Owl
We begin by meeting our wizard and learning that his owl has suddenly gone missing. We're headed into the realm of knights and castles to look at Medieval Art.
Tuesday: Wizard's Tower
We're going forward in time to the era of Impressionism and using chalk pastels to create a mysterious tower.
Wednesday: Enchanted Garden
We'll be painting today as we learn about the Rococo period, where we paint our fancy fountain.
Thursday: Tower Guardian
We'll learn about angles and shapes today as we visit Picasso's Cubism period and create our Tower Guardian with markers (or crayons!).
Friday: Polka Dot Potion
We'll give Contemporary Art a spin as we learn about Yayoi Kusama and her famous polka dotted art as we create our potion. But why does our wizard need a potion? You'll have to come to find out!
