It's our first newsletter!

You may be asking, why on earth should I even read this when I have 1,123,349 other things to do including running my kids to practice or travel soccer, doing my laundry, grabbing groceries...

It's because once a month I'm going to give you the nitty gritty.

How you REALLY teach art to kids.

The good - AND the hard.

The supplies I'm loving - and that you'll love too.

The tips and tricks to make things easier.

How to handle some of those burning questions - like why is it that some people have an easy art time, and other art times don't go as planned? Or how do you stop this clay from cracking? Or what if my kids want to draw a dog and not this project?

I'll also share days that you'll want to be aware of (I mean, don't you need to know if there's a National Donut Day coming up? Yes, yes you do.)

Also, this is my new cat Jezzi - she's a 6 year old rescue who spent 2.5 years in a cage. I've never had a cat before so I'm learning how to speak cat but loving her sweet and quirky energy!

Honeybees see in color.  Or maybe I've never actually paid attention to what bugs can and can't see (other than those images that make it look like bug eyes see a kaleidoscope).  Charles Henry Turner, the first Black entomologist, was passionate about bugs. His discovery that honey bees see in vibrant color, however, was credit...
The End of 2025 | Going Into 2026 Like a WARRIOR
Fans of the Warriors series by Erin Hunter, and of cats, this art camp is for YOU! Does this cat look like a Warrior to you? My cat Jezzi was in the slammer for 2.5 years before we adopted her, and she's learning to enjoy the finer things in life (like a nice, warm blanket and lap).  But this is my first cat. I'm actually a dog person - but I think I'm now a bit of a cat person too. Being abl...
